This year United Testing Service will be doing the speech, vision and hearing screening
at our school. The cost per test will be $22 or $55 for all three screenings. Checks
are to be payable to United Testing Service. A letter will be sent home next week
(week of 8-15) for you to complete and return to the school no later than Thursday,
October 25th. You will be notified in writing of your child's results. The day of the screening
will be Tuesday, October 30, 2007. If you have any questions you may contact Gae Faraone
Program Coordinator. Call school office for her perspective phone number.

Clarification Regarding Shoes
Students wear BLACK or BROWN leather tie shoe or loafer. No leather
sneakers or SKATER-TYPE shoes permitted.
Socks must at least cover ankle
(if it can't be seen, it cannot be worn).

Cost of PE iniforms has increased:
Youth Sizes-$7.00 (ea. shirt & shorts)
Adult Sizes-$8.00 (ea. shirt & shorts)

We have ordered some Adult nylon mesh shorts for the upper grades.
These are more expensive so we ordered just a few to see if they
interest the students. The cost of these shorts is $13.00.

YearBook Pictures!! Thinking Ahead
Anyone who has pictures that they could donate for the school year of 2007-2008

Let's create another great yearbook this year. Your memories are our memories! Thank you!

HOME ROOM PARENT MTG. SCHEDULE
First Room Parent Meeting is ,2008 in the cafeteria (Fatima Hall)
at 2:00pm. All are welcome!

A ROOM PARENT
can be a mother, father, grandparent, aunt, uncle, or any family member who is willing to be
involved in the children's school activities. The activities would include driving for
field trips, involved in the class parties, providing goodies for class parties, helping
in any aspect of our numerous school events.

The HEAD ROOM PARENT is the person whom is the teacher contact when services are needed.
Ensures the class booth for the Spring Festival is manned, sends home information about up
coming class events that require parents participation, calls for participation from the
parent committee, and attend monthly meetings.

This is a fun and rewarding committee for everyone involved. Any time that you volunteer will
be credited towards your 3 hours a week total stewardship for the parish.

~Believe, Begin & Blossom~

Info:

Try having your child write down five things that they are grateful for at the end of each day.
Doing this can help kids stay positive in an often negative world.
